1Getting around

Home shows your friends’ writing and the newest public posts. Everything you post stays in the Menu on the left, grouped by month.

Reviews is the shared catalog: what members are reading, watching and playing, gathered by the work rather than by the writer.

1APublic alpha

Personal blogging and reviews. No algorithmic feed ranking. Argotu’s Latest and Following feeds show posts newest first, without personalized ranking based on engagement. Search, moderation, and other service functions still use automated software.

Argotu is in public alpha. All development phases are experimental. By joining, you’re using an unfinished platform. Features may be incomplete, change, or be removed, and bugs or service interruptions may occur. Argotu may be suspended or permanently discontinued, subject to the Terms of Service and applicable law. This applies to all members, including subscribers.

Subscriptions provide the benefits listed at purchase. They do not guarantee future features, a release date, or a completed platform. The Terms of Service explain the alpha status and service limitations; applicable consumer rights and the Refund Policy still apply.

Auxerta may suspend or permanently discontinue all or part of Argotu. Planned closures carry at least 30 days’ notice by email; urgent legal, safety, security, or essential-platform issues may require shorter notice. See suspension and termination for notice, content-export, and billing provisions.

2Your account

You sign in with your email address and password, or ask for a sign-in link and open it from your inbox. Forgot your password: the sign-in page emails you a reset link. Both letters expire, and both go only to the address on the account. If one does not arrive, check that you asked with the address you signed up with.

A new account confirms its email address first. Until the confirmation letter is answered, most rooms are closed.

3Writing

An entry holds up to 400 characters, or 40,000 subscribed. Every entry has an audience, chosen on the composer: Private is you alone, Group is your friends, Public is anyone.

Your own post carries a ⋯ menu: copy link, edit, delete. Delete gives you 6 seconds to undo.

4Pictures

A moderator reviews every picture you share before anyone else sees it. That is the hold on a fresh photo. Add up to two photos to the same post. Each photo uses one credit; you get 10 a month, or 40 with a subscription. The composer shows your remaining credits and the cost before you post. Credits refill on the 1st.

5Friends and followers

A friend is mutual: both of you agreed. A follower reads you one way, and you do not have to follow back. Your Group audience is your friends.

To block someone, use the ⋯ menu on their profile. The same menu unblocks them.

6Subscribe

Subscribing is $4.99 a month: entries hold 40,000 characters, and you get 40 picture actions a month. Billed monthly. You subscribe and cancel on the subscription page, online, at any time.

7Reports

Report a bug is in your star menu, top right. It sends us the page you were on so we can see what you did. To report a post, use report post in the ⋯ menu on the post itself; a person reads every report.

8Your data

Your profile settings hold two controls that never require writing to us first. Export downloads a copy of your writing and account record in one file. Delete account removes your account and your writing, and it is permanent.

9Copyright

To report content you believe infringes your copyright, use our Copyright & DMCA policy. It provides the copyright contact details and requirements for a written notice.

10Contact

Write to contact@auxerta.com. A person reads it. For copyright notices, use the process in section 9; for reporting a post or a bug, the in-product doors in section 7 are faster.

Auxerta, Inc. is the company behind Argotu. Subscriptions bought on the website are sold by Auxerta LLC, its affiliate; subscriptions bought in the iPhone app are billed by Apple.
